3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Namecheap, Inc., 4600 East Washington Street, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85034, USA (shared hosting). Namecheap's representative in the EU under Art. 27 GDPR is the European Data Protection Office (EDPO), Avenue Huart Hamoir 71, 1030 Brussels, Belgium.

When you visit the site, the web server stores access logs with the following data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested file and request method, the HTTP status code, the amount of data transferred, the referring page (referrer) and your browser's user-agent string (browser and operating system). Statistics (AWStats) are generated from these logs in the hosting control panel; this cannot be disabled on the current plan.

Purpose: to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website). Retention: access logs archived in our hosting account are deleted automatically after 30 days. Namecheap may keep its own server logs for a limited period for security purposes.

Namecheap processes this data on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum (Art. 28 GDPR), which is part of Namecheap's terms of service. The servers are located in the United States. Transfers to the US are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Decision (EU) 2021/914) included in that addendum.

4. Contact by email

If you email us at hello@gelf.studio, we process your email address, your name if provided, and the content of your message in order to answer your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a possible project; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries).

Our email is provided by Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which processes messages on our behalf under Google's data processing terms (Art. 28 GDPR). Google may also process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, on the basis of the safeguards set out in those terms.

Retention: we delete inquiries once they are no longer needed. Correspondence relevant for tax or commercial purposes is kept as required by German tax and commercial law.

5. Contact by telephone

If you call us, we process your phone number and the content of the call, or of a voicemail, to answer your request. Legal basis as in section 4. Telephone service: Telekom Deutschland GmbH (fraenk). Voicemail recordings are deleted once the message has been processed.

6. Encryption

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, email hello@gelf.studio.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

8. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

9. Changes

We will update this policy when the website or its services change. Version: 2026-11.
